Dear SFC Family:
As most of you know, Slumber Falls is in a transitional period and doing our best to not have our finances impact our summer camp program or be detrimental to having large retreat groups utilize our beautiful camp. We have already made a lot of improvements through private donations for specific goals and amenities.
Slumber Falls will celebrate 60 years of life transforming ministries this August. Over the years we have had the pleasure of hosting weddings, baptisms, memorial services and seeing many of our past campers called by God into the ministry. So to say that many of you hold Slumber Falls near and dear to your heart would be an understatement.
We are reaching out to all who are able to help us meet our goal of assisting economically challenged summer campers by scholarshiping all or a portion of their camp fee. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds right now to bring this to fruition. While we will never turn away a camper, this has meant that the camp bears the burden of these expenses.
In addition to our scholarship fund, we are only able to serve about 50% of the large retreat groups (groups over 150) who contact us when looking for a venue to hold their event. We are in desperate need of making some long overdue renovations to several of our cabins as well as constructing additional cabins and a stand alone dining hall with a kitchen similar to Woelke Lodge. These improvements are critical to the vitality of the camp and for us to be self-sufficient.
As you can imagine, to accomplish all of these things we need you. We cannot do it alone. Everyone counts no matter the size of the donation.
Would you be willing to contribute to help us reach our goals?
All donations are tax deductible, and we will provide letters showing your contributions.
